Could someone point me to a reference detailing how to properly adjust the steering gear box on a 1933?
The car in question is a 1933 1236, so I’m not sure if the steering box is specific to the Twelve or shared with the Eight.
The steering on this car is tight rather than too loose, as is typical. The box was rebuilt but apparently not adjusted correctly.
Thanks
I would first jack the front axle off the floor and turn the steering back and forth, try to eliminate the kingpins as the source of friction.
