Last Sunday,at the Saratoga Automobile Museum, the Archer and Cap that was affixed to the museum’s 1931 model 42 Dual Cowl Phaeton was stolen. This was a well done repro cap and archer, (I know for sure that it is a repo because I am a docent there and took it apart to replace the arrow). Any clues to its present location, or the appearance of one on ebay, might lead to its return. I certainly hope so. This is a great little museum, located in the state park area of Saratoga Springs, in the former Saratoga bottling works. The need to spend $500 for another would be a great sacrifice to the museum.
Moreover, anyone wishing to donate one to the museum, to replace the stolen one would be greatly appreciated. Any donation of this sort, of course, is tax deductible.
