Swollen chrome parts

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best method of separating swollen chrome parts?

Please explain what parts and what you mean by swollen.

The only things I can think of would be chrome plated zinc or pot metal parts where the pot metal has swollen and cause the parts to seize. If this is the case, then it is likely that one of the parts must be sacrificed in order to separate them..
