The Bernard J. Weis winner at the Buffalo Meet

I just learned, that since our last Meet, (here in Buffalo) and after winning the Bernard J. Weis, “Best of Show” trophy. Charles Gillets’ 1934 convertible sedan has gone on to win five consecutive “BEST OF SHOW,” CONCOURS de Elegance Awards, along the East Coast. To top this off, he was invited to this winters “A.A.C.A. Board of Directors Meet, in Philadelphia. There the Convertible Sedan won “THE PRESIDENTS CUP.”

He has applied for entrance to PEBBLE BEACH–THE SHOW OF ALL SHOWS; but, as of yet, nothing has been confirmed.

It is a very nice automobile. He has been a very long time collector in the hobby. I first met him in the early 80’s at a CCCA grand classic, when I was attending my first ever car show with my own car. We were parked next to each other. A true gentleman!
