Top Insert Material Repair or Replace

My original 1934 5 passenger sedan top insert material is shredding. 1- Can someone direct me to any past writings that can help guide me on the repair or replacement of the material?

2- With this insert repaired or replaced, how does that affect the judging criteria for my otherwise original car?

The only reproduction material that I know of for the original “Pantasote” is “Jonarts Classics Panatsote Replication”. I obtained it from The Haartz Corp, their part code “F12273678”, in 2005. Call Eric Haartz at 978-263-2741.
