Here at the AACA Library I’ve started sorting through the personal papers of F.W. Davis. After graduating from Harvard in 1910 he would work in Pierce-Arrow’s Truck Division for over a decade. During that time he developed the first successful hydraulic power steering system.
Around 1922 Davis went out on his own as a consulting engineer. Today I found the press release he personally wrote announcing his “promotion””.
I thought you all might enjoy seeing it.”
Very cool, think he took drawing lessons from Picasso!!
Hi Chris,

Happy Motoring,

Hi Chris,
Nice job.
For those interested, a good read is: The Unreasonable American: Francis W. Davis, Inventor of Power Steering.
