    Hi all,

Question: When you switch on the main headlights, how many of the others are also on? Should all six come on at once or should the bumper lights have a separate switch? 1929 Phaeton

    Thanks for your help. Rick

Richard, One click left should give you your bar parking lights, one click right of off gives you low beam, two clicks gives high beam, do you still have the resistor block to mount back on the left front inner frame rail? this is where low and high comes from on 29’s. This junction block coiled resistor also reduces voltage to the 1000 bulb for low beams. Do you have the wiring diagram? 1930’s do not have the resistor. Karl

Ill let the mechanic know and check all that you said. Thanks, Rick

If you have the two-lite headlamps your bulbs are double filament bulbs so there is no resistor for high and low beam.

I will get your carb pics and send them to your personal email.

I’ve been busy, sorry for the delay.

Just a thought…I’ve mounted small magnetic mirrors from the dollar store on the garage door, and behind the both of the cars in my garage. I can easily check the lights, and if they’re functioning, without getting out of the car.

The “bumper” lights should have a separate switch. Since they were an accessory, that switch would not already be on the car but added.
