When enlarged, it has spring loaded hood hold downs, first used in 1925, this Model would be without change  until 1928.  So my best guess is an XA or XB 5-7 ton from 25-27

On Friday, we will learn who lived in the shoe, in the little town of Hellam. Did I mention it’s our first stop where we will find fresh coffee and donuts?

    David,

    THAT WOULD BE SWEET!!!

If real, it could be a 20 pound peanut butter cup. They came from a retired Hershey employee. (store displays) The original Reeses plant is on the east side of town and still making millions of cups a year. I wish we had an “in” to show us the production lines. We had a Herco VP in the Hershey Region AACA and I would shoot a trap league with the #3 at Kraft, (Hershey owned) now both gone from the top of this world. Our week will be too full as it is…

    Big dent
    The only dent.

    Jim,

I found body filler used about one foot up from the rear edge, in a 2 inch by 4 inch spot, just above the outer rolled edge. They pounded out a dent in this location and left it looking like an orange peel. They must only had a pick hammer and no dolly! The rest of the fender is straight. I will continue to document the results.

Jane, I hope we get Bicycles, motorcycles, wagons and any other Pierce family items on display on Saturday’s show field. If you have room bring them both for sure! Karl

in reply to: 1902 Pierce Women’s Racer #426235

Jane, Santa must have you on the NICE list. There is one hallway in the 2021 Meet hotel that will be perfect for cycle racing. You bring both racers and I’ll bring a starter flag! Karl

Andrew, I would highly recommend that you post this project under the AACA site. This bezel also fits Buick, Packard, and Wills Ste Claire in the twenties. It does not fit Lincoln in this casting because of the trip odometer reset location. You may get more takers if you show the world. Add the above makes and see what kind of interest it brings to your project. Karl

    David,

Moderators on AACA get requests to “MOVE” stuff every day because other members think is is in the wrong area or off topic. Some move some stay, most of us have better things to do with the 18 waking hours of our day than to move posts that could be avoided if rules are followed. (Peters Point) New members are gladly helped with posts that need moved by moderating the thread. Long time members should know better.

WE have always had a Pierce Arrow section on AACA, for now we have expanded it to show you what it can be there. The oil can thread is just an example of success there!

    “David W. Coco
If we end up on the AACA forums, for goodness sake, stay on topic.  Peter G. Just went ballistic as a moderator and there’s now a banner on the site STAY ON TOPIC or some such.  God forbid we talk about other things that come to mind….”

    All,

This is just simple moderation of the AACA forum. NOT staying on topic has happened here in the old and new site. A moderator can take the post and create a new topic with heading. OR: the poster could start a new thread. That is less work for moderators. Wow just common sense?
