Bought in Seattle by prominent Seattle, WA city official. Lost in poker game at local cigar store next to Seattle City Hall. New owner T.C. Torres owner of said cigar store. 98,898 miles put on car before being parked inside Queen Anne Hill garage on last Friday of February 1937. Owner died of pneumonia over weekend. Sedan sat inside garage until I purchased it Halloween of 1974 and it was pulled out of garage at dawn on following Sunday (previous owner [windowed fiancé of T.C. Torres; they were to be married 1st Saturday of March 1937] did not want her neighbors to know car was removed).
When trying to license the car after full restoration, we could find no record of original owner. 2nd owner (widow) said the city official had his name removed from records as he was up for elections and did not want public to know he lost high priced car in poker game just before stock market crash of 1929.
I added over 82,000 miles to car until we could no longer find parts to keep original running gear working. Paul put used LS-1 engine, automatic transmission, new wire wheels, brakes, shock absorbers in car in Spring of 2016. New running gear had 154,000 miles on it.  It was driven a little over 12,000 miles before that engine failed. Paul is in process of putting in new crate LS-3 engine. We hope to get car back on road in 2023.
