| Vehicle History | 1938 Pierce-Arrow 1803 Town Car From Chapman: This 1938 Pierce-Arrow Model 1803 12 cylinder Town Car was originally invoiced to Thomas J. O’Rourke in 1938. Mr. O’Rourke had been the Assistant to the President of the Pierce-Arrow Company. In 1949, the car was sold to Don Chapman. Mr. Chapman used the car as his daily driver for several years and then put the car into long term storage in the early 1950’s. The car remained in storage until the 2010’s, when it went through a complete restoration. Mr. Chapman still owns the car (until 2025 ,DDW), and has placed it on display at the Northeast Classic Car Museum, located in Norwich, New York. From David Tyminski: Bernard B. Given lived in Syracuse, New York and owned this town car till 1947. (I don’t know when it was purchased) There were 4 additional owners until Don R. Chapman bought the car in August, 1949. Don towed this car to his family home in Syracuse behind a Model A Ford….. |
