William “Bill” Scorah

The Pierce-Arrow Society mourns the passing of William “Bill” Scorah, a devoted member and respected authority on classic automobiles, who died peacefully at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on January 14, 2026, at the age of 85, following a brief illness.

Born June 14, 1940, in New York City to William and Mary Scorah, Bill spent his early years in the Bowery before eventually making his home in New Mexico, where he built both a successful career and a lasting legacy.

Bill was a prominent figure in the Albuquerque business community as Owner and CEO of Chamisa Land Company. A Certified Public Accountant, he was a long-standing member of the New Mexico Society of CPAs and was widely respected for his professionalism, integrity, and leadership.

Within the collector car community, Bill was especially admired for his deep knowledge and passion for Packard and Pierce-Arrow automobiles. His expertise spanned the formative years of both marques through their eventual dissolution, and he was regarded as one of the most knowledgeable collectors in the field. As an active member of the Classic Car Club of America and the Pierce-Arrow Society, Bill was dedicated to the preservation, history, and appreciation of these distinguished automobiles.

Bill’s presence, insight, and enthusiasm will be greatly missed by fellow members and friends throughout the hobby.

He is survived by his daughter, Kim Bourget, and her husband, Neil Levine, of Bellevue, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Scorah.
