We will be holding an auction on June 19th for the Melvin Museum out of Oscoda, MI. The auction will be live and online, you can view all of the lots and register online by clicking on the below link. There will be 22 bikes up for sale including a 1909 Pierce 4 cylinder, see list of bikes below. There is also a lot of rare artifacts and memorabilia some which were originally purchased from the Indian factories, Harley-Davidson Museum and others. 1909 Pierce, one of the earliest known Pierce four cylinder motorcycles . Restored , beautiful , built from original engine and some parts from AMCA early Member, Doctor Cleveland, Sold with Bill of sale. Estimate $85,000.
It is interesting that two rare Pierce 4 cylinder motorcycles come up for bid almost at the same time. The one at the Copake auction sold on April 20 to a “collector in Buffalo”. it was a 1911 4 cylinder and brought $166,750.00.
