There is also a lot of rare artifacts and memorabilia some which were originally purchased from the Indian factories, Harley-Davidson Museum and others. 1909 Pierce, one of the earliest known Pierce four cylinder motorcycles . Restored , beautiful , built from original engine and some parts from AMCA early Member, Doctor Cleveland, Sold with Bill of sale. Estimate $85,000.
It is interesting that two rare Pierce 4 cylinder motorcycles come up for bid almost at the same time. The one at the Copake auction sold on April 20 to a “collector in Buffalo”. it was a 1911 4 cylinder and brought $166,750.00.
