    I enjoy looking at photos from “back in the day””.

    Attached are a couple of photos of a friend’s father’s 1909 Pierce motorcycle.

    He said that his father sold it because it couldn’t make it up the hills near Toronto….”

    Maybe a serious hill? I don’t know if this model Pierce motorcycle had more than one gear ratio? or a variable front pulley drive?
