<p style=”text-align: left;”>I just ran across this auction.</p>
Donated to AACA by the Becker family.
No reserve ends on 9/3 at 3:10 EDT
I notice this Pierce was sold for a good price, without identifying information about the new owner or where it may now be located. I hope that means it will again be seen out on the road: the 38HP owner-driver size and shape encourages being shown and being driven. This runabout changes situations just in time, with Pierce-Arrow’s 125th anniversary just around the corner.
This runabout can be traced to the Society’s beginnings, when it belonged to Mary Hecht, editor of the Arrow. Much later, Gene and Pauline Becker purchased it from her estate. The car was painted dark green when Mary had it; Pauline changed the color to the present shade of red.
