    Folks,

We are trying to test the distributor on a machine. The Wiring manual has the max advance for both manual (35) and automatic (19.5 @ 3200), but does not have the dwell and the distributor rotation. Does anyone have these specs and any other tidbits for these 668-E distributors?

    Thanks!

    Bob

Page 31 of PAS wiring guide shows distributor rotation as CW using an arrow symbol. I do not see dwell.

Thanks, Paul. I should have looked closer. This helps!

There was no dwell angle used in the day. The factory said .018″ [ think] for the point gap.

Since this is a 4-lobe distributor cam, using two sets of points and two coils, you can treat it like two overlapping 4 cylinder distributors.. look up a 4 cylinder dwell setting, it will be close.

I’ll look to see if something other than my Motors Manual has a dwell setting.
