    I am trying to help Bill Word with his 1932 transmission. It is very difficult to shift from Second to high and almost seems to go into two gears at once at times. Don’t know if the problem is with the top shifter or the synchromesh. There is some wear on the shift lever in the top where the part slides the gears.

    Any ideas? What he wants is to find a good used or rebuild unit to swap out on his car or someone who can rebuild his unit. Even a good top shifter unit may be a help.

    I believe I have a ’32 transmission I could loan the top cover and shifter off of. I”ll go take a look at it tomorrow. I hope it does have the top cover, I seem to remember a trans missing the top cover.
