I have a 1932 Club Brougham that has the clutch pedal with a shaft coming off the pedal assembly where a spring would attach to pull the pedal back. What I don’t know is where it attaches. I thought maybe it attaches to the battery box but I am uncertain. I know some clutch assemblies have a spring that wraps around the shaft that holds the pedal but mine doesn’t have this. There is a spring on the end of the shaft but it is used to hold the clutch and brake pedal against one another. I tried to attach a photo but can’t figure out how to make that happen.

The shaft attaches to a small lever at the back of the transmission. There is a spring on either side of the lever. The shaft parallels the battery box and left side of the trans.
