Another interesting photograph that I re-discovered in my collection. Several years ago I purchased this negative of a service truck for a Pierce-Arrow & Franklin dealer. The truck is a 1917 Franklin Series 9 (obvious due to the year painted on the tailgate) and carries the Pierce logo. The truck is a “homemade” conversion as this was not a factory option. I can only speculate that this was a service vehicle for a dealer’s garage as I do not have any more information about this picture. Also note the possible “used cars” on the side of the building.
I wonder if the Sales Department at the Pierce-Arrow factory would approve of this advertising?
Enjoy!
Pierce-Arrow would extend professional courtesy as they didn’t
produce a pick-up truck and both makes were produced in the same
state.
