I now have a short in my horn cable.  Does any9ne have a replacement horn button assembly for a Series 80 ?  Is there a way to check the current cable to try to find the short ?  Any help would be appreciated.   Bob G. in Missouri.

    Hello Robert,

That Horn Cable should be encased in a steel covering, and to check if it is shorted, you merely need to Connect Power (6V) to One-End, and

use your  Multimeter to see if you get any power on the other end.

I think that solution is Correct, but other members will likely chime-in if I am incorrect.

    Good Luck,

    Peter

Thanks for your input.  With the help of my neighbor, we checked the continuity of the cable – which is good.  It seems the “short” is occurring at the button end at the steering wheel.  Finding the correct washer under the button to separate it – some cardboard and fiber washers don’t seem to work all the time.  Even tried a rubber washer – which is evidently part plastic (on conductive).
