I have spent the past year doing alot of research about my family and found that my great great grandfather, William Woop, worked with George Cole in the Cole & Woop company based out of New York city. Their coachworks installed on Pierce Arrows were sold by Harrolds in New York.

Im wondering if anyone has come across the name or currently owns one of their cars.

Looking forward to hearing from someone, would be awesome to have a pic with the car, if possible

You should look on http://www.Coachbuilt.com for Cole & Woop.

Also, contact Brooks Brierley (PAS Roster) and ask him.

Brooks is a living and breathing encyclopedia of Coach Built Motorcars.

Ive done pretty much online research I can do. I have NY Times advertisements, I have the 1906 sales catalog. I have tons of advertisements and publications that call out the family name.

I know the cars were built, now Im trying to find one.

    Thanks for the lead

I have been in communication with a couple of Pierce folks who have given me a lot of info. I just updated my personal website and added a page in tribute to the Woop name. It includes the 7 Oct 1906 advertisement, which states 6 Great Arrow limousines were to be offered by Harrold’s of New York City with Cole & Woop coachworks.
