    Hello fellow Pierce enthusiasts.

I need a windshield regulator gear for a 1930 Model B. this is the cast piece that bolts to the windshield frame and the regulator controls. I called Dave Murray, and he doesn’t plan on making any for at least 6 months. Any confusion on what I am looking at I can post a pic.

    Happy Holidays!!!

    Sean,

If possible, post a picture. I’ve got a couple of them and they’re different-not a match. I don’t know how often Pierce changed this part?

    Possible Ed Minnie could help?

No idea why it’s posting the pics upside down….

    Thanks for the help.

I have never made this part. I am sure it was done in the past. Like the side vent window gears and brackets, they all should be changed out. The problem is many people don’t support the projects when they are done and put the parts on the shelf, thus repro parts cost more due to small numbers being manufactured. I always buy spare parts even if I dont need them to help the project along. I just sold a car a few months ago, and also sold all the spares with the car. I was able to sell my car fast and at a higher price because of the spare parts that went with it.

Looking back at when this part may have been last available resulted with this listing in the PAS parts directory dated 1992 on page 15.

“1929-30 windshield tilt gear sector”” supplied by Irv Blonder
