    The radiator cap on my car has a motometer gauge with female threads. The throat of the radiator also has female threads. At one time some evidently made an adapter (nipple with fine threads) out of steel that has now rotted out. The cap size appears to be a nominal 2″ Since getting a brass adapter does not seem to be practical, would a 2 inch 18 threaded cap (used on model A Fords) work ( avaialbel form Restoration Supply. Any help will be greatly appreciated

    Art, our member Paul Jacobs in NY was reproducing Series 80 radiator caps, and they are VERY nice–made of delrin, as I recall. You can drill Paul’s cap to accept your Motometer.
