I recently took the radiator off my car and saw that incorrect mounting hardware was used.

Am I correct in that a rubber washer or a piece of lacing goes between the radiator and the front frame cross-member, a rubber washer is used below the cross-member then a coil spring, castle nut and cotter pin? If so, I wonder if two model A front lower motor mount spring will work. If I am correct, the coil springs were missing on my car.

    Thanks,

    John

Body shim between the radiator and frame, rubber grommet underneath if I remember correctly.

    Ed,

Mine had a rubber grommet and about four flat washers under the castle nut. It just didn’t look right….

Jak Guyomar was good enough to sent me a copy from the 29 / 30 parts book. Apparently, what I had was basically correct but the grommet was not thick enough and the previous owner just used extra washers.

    Ed and Jak, Thank you!
