Well I must admit I have egg on my face. My previous post on Bill Calimer’s Wheel Shop was not very flattering but that was due to impatience and frustration on my part.
I thank all those who responded to my post and want to say that you were right. My wheels showed up today and they are beautiful. I cannot wait to finish them and get them on the car.

The quality is outstanding and the cost was much less than I anticipated. I will be sending him another set shortly.

I guess if you want it done right, you wait for it.
I hope they last for a long time because I intend to do a lot of driving on them.

BTW I decided to leave them natural and finish them with a good coat of Marine varnish instead of paint.

I would highly recomend his services for wooden wheels.

Hi- glad this worked out for you, as mentioned in previous post he has done nothing but excellent work for me; also, as mentioned before, if you are going to finish natural, tell Bill so that he uses a nice looking grain; otherwise he just goes for strength. David C.
