I was contacted by a man with an NOS bumper supposedly for a Pierce. It looks like the type used from the teens to mid-20’s. Has a tag stating mfg by C.P. Kimball & Co of Chicago Patent No. 967900. Has a fairly large end curve and sweep on each end. Appears to still have some original wrapping. He sent a picture but no dimensions.

Contact Paul at (270)230-5054 or e-mail to: [email protected]

He thinks it’s worth a lot because it may fit a Pierce. I advised him that rarity means nothing without demand.

Unless it has correct end-caps and hardware, it’s just a bent tube, I’ve never seen a name, serial number or part number on a tube bumper, so being ‘original’ really means nothing..

Dave: can you attach the photo to a message so we can look at the curved ends? Did he give any dimensions for length and diameter??

Sorry! All I know is what I was told and got from a couple of poor pictures. I couldn’t attach the photos.

As stated in the posting, call or e-mail Paul with your questions.

    Dave
