Just my two cents. From what I understand, often you car will have a shok that is not rebuildable, thus you may want to have a spare or two on hand when you do your project. ed

It is quite obvious that this subject has realy hit a sensitive and needy spot. I suggest that PAS do a complete report and add all factory notes and pictures, as well as members appropriate pics. This subject is one that will come up again over and over. Do the work now and save future generations a great pain. We have such excellent documentation on clutch repair, and steering boxes.
