timing for 1909 48

Would someone have the correct timing information for the 1909 model 48 6 cylinder? Is it number one at tdc with points about to open while fully retarded? Or should number one be some number of degrees before tdc?

Set it up so number one fires at 1 degree PAST top dead center at full retarded. That way the car CAN NOT kick back and break your arm or snap a starter. Ed
