    Greg,

    Thanks for the suggestions, I tried to email you but they have been coming back undeliverable. I slotted to flap a little, used lots of talc, a stem bushing and bent the stem. So far so good. Jim

    Your procedure sounds good, I think once the tube/tire is properly inflated, the stem will be aimed correctly.

    Here is a link with tubes that are three times thicker than the china junk. Yup they are about 65 dollars seac, they have 600/700 18 with an offset.
