    Mark,

Welcome to the PAS. I have gotten a lot of great help here. I am sure you will find these guys to be very helpful.

I posted the link to the Barn Find because they had several Pierce Arrows for sale there.

    Enjoy the ride,

    Hi Curtiss,

A couple of things I notice is that in the listing it states a 6 cylinder and that it is a coupe. I believe it would have to be an 8 or 12 cylinder and it looks to be a sedan to me.

    Hello Peter,

I believe it is Stainless. It doesn’t get hot though like you would expect Stainless to get. Here is a picture of the bottom side.

I am still in need of another cap that I can mount my Moto Meter to. If anyone has one that I can purchase I would appreciate it. It would be helpful if the hole is already drilled.

in reply to: Hood Orrnament Question #408002

    Craig,

You are correct it the hood does miss it when I open the hood. At one point someone did figure out a way to hit the hood against it. George T. pointed out to me where it had hood was nicked. I am very careful when opening the hood and do turn the cap to the side as George suggested I do that to make sure it does not hit.

This is the one that we have on our Series 80. It came with our Pierce Arrow when we bought it.

Peter, I also saw the one you pictured that was on ebay last week. Someone got a

    nice buy on it.

in reply to: Minnesota allowed me to register these! #407959

    Hello Dave,

My YOM plates for this year were $138. You are welcome to stay in our spare bedroom when you make the trip here.

I think the reason your Registration is so much higher is because you have a more valuable Pierce Arrow.

    David,

The DMV in San Luis Obispo was very helpful when I went to register our Pierce Arrow when we purchased it from Arizona. We may have been somewhat fortunate that our plates had been registered in CA once before and they were able to find it in the DMV Computer. We do pay an added fee for having YOM plates on the Pierce but it is not very expensive when we look at the bigger picture of being able to drive with the plates that match the car. Our Plate numbers actually have the year in number a couple of times. We couldn’t ask for a better plate for our vehicle and are fortunate to have them. Our Pierce is a 1925 Series 80.
