    Craig,

those pictures are magnificent. Just what we needed. Thank you SOOOOOO much. I have fancy super bars. Looks like they are not correct for my car. I am missing the metal straps. Im sure they can be made. I am also missing the brackets that attache to the metal loops above the gas tank. Again, these pics are great.

lol That is my car as found. :) where it is secured is the only bolts that were on it.

Thanks Dave. Looks like I am in need of another top support bracket. Any help, ANYONE?

The photo is of the correct levers. Karl sold me some great copies. A metal finish co is finishing them. I will post the finished product when they are done. Thanks Karl. you are a life saver. Those levers and the clock have been an impossible task. The first yr, 1929 had a lot of oddball things.

Thank you all for the info. Maybe the blind spot was the reason the original owner said the hell with it and tossed the original motors. lolo

My car had 65k on the odometer when I bought it. The car has been taken down to the last nut and bolt. The engine has been totally rebuilt etc…. It should be good to go for another 80 years til someone else has a brilliant idea to restore it again. :)

Are the bases for the leverssuposed to be blacl or polished brass?

    Hi

I must have been unclear. I am not talking about the levers on the steering wheel. These levers are to the left of the wheel on the metal dash

    Dave,

You are correct on the different shades of green. I has been one of the hardest things to coordinate. At one point, I gave up on the teal because matching it was so difficult.

I originally selected silver and the teal green. However, the sliver was cold and did not give the look I wanted. The bronze was an accidental selection. I was scouring over paint book after paint book. I held the bronze up and it looked brilliant against the teal. Thought about that or two shades of blue. I then decided the blues were not right and blue is a common color.

This is what I am thinking. Match the top to the bronze paint. Ad a few teal green accents on the rear cording of the top and spare covers. I would then use the dark teal leather for the interior.

I think it might work because there is a significant break of broze between the reveal and the interior. If they have the same tone, the exact shade won’t be noticed.

Thoughts? I was thinking of a pinstripe of wine or lighter purple. Something that will stand out but not scream across the room. lolo

    Dave,

I found a tel green top matetial from germany. I have started to consider matching the bronze and then have green accents on the top. Well see. The interior will either be the datk teal green or something that matches the bronze. Brown, butterscotch, taupe. Not sure.

    HI guys,

The pedal car was actually made by american national. it is about a 35. they made that grille for a few years. It was modeled after a ford grille. Think 35.

Complete is a bit difficult. some had windshield, some were fire chiefs, some had horns etc…… In general it is complete but when it gets down to the tiny stuff its hard to tell. Just like the big ones. It looks solid. The hardest thing about buying restored pedals off line is that you can not tell the quiality of the paint. It all looks good on a computer screen.

Feel free to contact me with any questions. I would be glad to answer.
