Congratulations Robert, that is one gorgeous Pierce.
The PAS is the best group of auto enthusiasts there is and your story is further proof of that.
You are lucky to have such a supportive wife, treat her and your new Pierce well.
That is one rough car.
Ambitious restoration is an understatement.
From the pictures I saw Oivind started with less and put together an amazing car, maybe he’s ready for a similar project?
Good luck with getting the cab all squared away.
That truck is lucky to have someone like you breathe new life into it.
Wow.
My heart sank when I saw the title of this post.
Great to see that Fay is once again being recognized for his great talent and contributions to our hobby and the Pierce Arrow marque.
That was a very interesting video.
Thanks for posting.
Working in a tire plant back then was a tough job.
Not a whole lot of safety features on those machines.
As long as the file isn’t really large it should upload just fine.
Just browse to where the file is on your PC and click submit.
If you’re on a phone I can’t help you since I don’t use my phone for anything other than making calls.
Looks good.
You know you’re in the home stretch when it goes into paint.
Here is a listing for a ’35 to ’38 radiator cap that is NOS and is less than $19 shipped.
Appears that the seller has more than one available.
Wow, that looks great.
I spoke with Dave a little earlier and the order process couldn’t have been easier.
Even though January is over I am excited to get my calendars.
Thanks again Dave for the opportunity to support the museum.
I think John’s cars sold below what they should have.
The ’31 was a steal at $19k.
I know we have a pedal car expert in our ranks.
Was it Richard LeRoy that is the expert?
Hopefully he sees this post and gets back to you in time.
John looks like he’s staring at the frame while on the phone with his mortgage broker asking how much equity he can pull out of his house.
The interior wood looks to be in great shape.
Were radios standard for 1933?
Neat truck.
It is better traveled than most people, born in New York and then sent to France during WWI, shipped to Canada, used in a few movies in the US and then shipped to the UK where it is now.
Don’t forget your kidney belt if you plan to drive it anywhere with those solid rubber tires.
I don’t think there should be only one Emporium.
I think a public Emporium and PAS only Emporium would keep parts being offered to PAS members first or only being offered to PAS members.
There are plenty of times where parts are offered very cheap or even free to fellow members and a public Emporium should not hinder this very generous practice.
Advertising rules can be hammered out such as they parts or services offered must directly benefit Pierce related vehicles, bicycles and the like – meaning no advertising Ford Model T or A parts that have zero to do with the PAMCC, while shock rebuilding services or parts would be relevant.
Just a few thoughts is all.
I think a non-member classifieds section would be a great addition to the site.
It will definitely drive more traffic to this site and maybe even cause some to join once they get a taste of the PAS experience.
Steve, it all depends on what you are trying to do in Calif.
It took me months just to register YOM plates to my Rickenbacker.
And even after all that hassle I am still charged a ‘special plate’ fee every year when I renew the registration.
A great story and a beautiful car.
Now that your wayward Pierce has found its way back to the family you need to make sure it stays in family.
Enjoy your grandfather’s Pierce and enjoy all the new memories you will make.
I’ve also picked up 6v coils from NAPA as well but a VW place will most likely be cheaper.
