George thank you for getting back to me. We took the Grease Cup off the Water Pump and there is a small hole through the center of the threads. Is that where I need to pack the grease into? For some reason I was thinking the Grease should be packed into the top. The cup itself looks like it should separate but we were unable to figure out how to back it off.

    I appreciate you impute,

I have the Lubricant and was able to get it from a Petroleum Dealer, JB Dewar.

They were nice enough to just give me some. They stated that they get in 9 pound quantities.

I do have a question about how do I go about filling the cup. I have books and the owners manual but none of them address that topic. I guess the figure a guy should know how to fill the cup. When I put the grease inside the packing it came out of the back of the gland nut. I tried to loosen the Grease Cup and it just came out completely.

    Thank you for the help,

    George,

Is it okay to use wheel bearing grease for a boat trailer in the water pump cup? What do you recommend?

    Thank you.

    Hello Randy,

I am trying to post the picture of my dash and am having problems. I haven’t been able to post pictures for a week. My wood surround is shiny it has been restored so I am not sure if mine is correct either.

I will take another picture tomorrow and see if that will post.

    Hello Peter and Randy,

    Peter,

That is a lot of great information. I am wondering what the measurement is

from the floor to the top of your cushion with out the 1X2’s? How far are the

    pedals from your seat?

I know I am still going to have to loose weight to get my legs in. I am

    motivated.

    Thanks,

That is a first for me. I had no idea there was such a thing out there.

    Greg,

Thank you for the useful information. I will copy it and put it in a file where

I can access it when needed. I have a spare engine and will go out and take a look at the access hole and brass plate to see what you are referring to.

    Peter,

I will be waiting with open ears to hear what effect it has on leg room.

I hope it works. That would be an easy fix.

Thank you everyone for the information. I am hoping to that by taking some

of the padding out it will help me fit into the car. Does anyone have a picture

of a Sedan Deluxe with the Upholstery off so I can see what it looks like?

    Thanks,

    Randy,

Thank you for the reply. It is an 80 Series Sedan. I have been told that the

seat is not adjustable. I am willing to try just about anything to be able to

drive it. The seat has been reupholstered.

Below is the a link to a Youtube Video.

This will show the way the car is set up inside and the upholstery.

    Thank you,
