HI all,
I just sent Wayne an email with this same picture. I will let you know what he says.
Rick
Craig,
You are absolutely correct. I thought I would stroke out when I was getting quotes. However, that was the one thing I always wanted and thought would look amazing on the car. I was right, even though it was deadly expensive.
The restoration of the trunk and cases was right up there too.

I WOULD TAKE ONE FOR MY 29 DC phaeton
Rick
Thanks karl,
With the flat side down the hose connectorspoint outward. My motors have the little arms that line up to the holes in windshield. The driver side has a manual arm as well.
1929 face and hands. No mechanism as of yet
I bought one of the black face clocks. It was actually larger than the white one. I am at a loss. My 29 has shown me time and time again that 29 has some unique parts for that year only.
Correct me if Im wrong, but the 1929 clock is different. The stem and mechanism is different. Im still looking for one myself. 29 was a white face, I think they changed to black after 29
Dave,
I will measure mine monday when i go back into the body shop.
The style of yr 29 rack is identicsl to mine but two pieces. The holes in thr rack are the same shape.
Several kind people have sent many photos. So many configurations configurations from 29 to 31. Its amazing.
I am beginibg to think it might have been replaced with one hesitation. The paint on the rack mayched body paint fade exactly. WHO %$#%??? KNOWS LOLOL
I will go to the body shop and snap a few pics. The two pieces of the rack are held together by a single chrome plate. The rack acts as a single rack. Other two pice racks have a chrome plate that flexes in the middle. Mine does not.
A 1931 had a wrack that had brackets on the back side that absorbed the extra space and attached to the loops on top of the gas tank.
Mine being the incorrect rack has crossed my mind.
Oivind
My large chrome piece second hole is not drilled out. It is solid and nickled/chrome. Plus, my S bars are much larger than yours. This is the most bizzare configuration.
Karl,
This is amazing. Everyone has sent me photos. Who would have thought there were so many combinations.
This is fantastic. Thank you so much. Rick
I guess the mechanic said the limiter is needed. Where do I find one? Do they make them new?
Rick
Karl,
Thanks. I guess Im showing my lack of electrical knowledge. Better safe than sorry. Thank you.
William,
Karl called it a circuit breaker, you called it a limiter. Same thing????? I have to ask the mechanic if it is missing altogether.
Rick
Thanks Karl,
The men at YnZ, who built the harness, said current limit relay. Is this differant? Lol. Im just the parts guy. A bit beyind me.
Thanks, Rick
Craig,
The strap will be amazing. However, we have come upon another problem with this rack.
The rack is the two piece rack. With The smaller piece placed closest to the bumper the larger piece does not reach back far enough to sit upon the loops above the gas tank. The chrome “S” support bars do not seam to fit anywhere. They just dont line up just right.
Do you or anyone have the schematics of this rack installed with all straps, bars, bolts etc…..???? There are extra drill holes and holes that do not line up to anything? Its becoming the rubics cube of trunk racks. lolo
ANY HELP!!
Craig,
You are amazing. Thanks more than I can express. Rick
