David,
Great, thank you.

Brooks,
Great work. Is it possible to look up California registrations between say, ’33 and ’38?
Thanks
Bill
If you search for “stainless wire hose clamps”” on ebay your get quite a few. I use them on my Morgan and the only issue is the screw has a hex head and in some cases it pretty long.”
I just went thru it. Go to “Join Us”” at the top of the left side menu. I think it is pretty straight from there. Payment is at the bottom. At least I think that is how it works.”
David,
Good to see y’all at Hershey. I am back and forth between Alabama and Georgia, in fact I was in both today.
Let me know if you need something run down.
Bill
Thanks to Greg Long and Chris Diekman the body problem was solved.
I submit this as the all time leader.
With the help of multiple members, about all I am missing are brake cables, running boards and aprons and cam bearings. Worm drive is rebuilt, steering column rebuilt with stainless outer tube and caged roller bearing in the top of the column.
Fenders and hood were excellent as they were stored inside.
David,
Thanks for the help.
Bill
Another view
It is a VERY impressive car in person.
Type A tailights
That is Long’s ’29. This is a 1915 Simplex Crane

Here is a link to John’s valves. Somewhere in my semi functioning brain cells, I remember that some of the valves were current diesel that were machined to take the PA keeper system, or something like that. Point being they were modern technology
Looks like the basis of another white wall/ black wall debate.
Just a footnote. Crosbie’s claim to fame is they used to cast the valves and other precise parts for clarinets, oboes and bassoons, probably for Conn as their HQ is in Elkhart also.
Greg,
In my defense, since I have never had any, they don’t do anything in my car. Kind of “you don’t know what you don’t know””
Bill”
I think that what happens, is after the cars sit for a few years, the rods that run down to the bottom of the column rust together. Inattentive owners jump in and try to move them and they break the levers off, after all they are made of Mystery metal. Bronze/brass or stainless would be an improvement.
