One could write a hundred pages on the new fuel and it’s problem in our old cars. To make it short and sweet, making the correct adjustments and upgrades are not terribly difficult, and once done will last a lifetime. New larger fuel lines and fittings, improvements in fuel pump kits, electric pumps, new main and idle jets for the modern fuel, as well as new air bleeds make for great improvements in start, idle, and running. At the same time the ignition system should also be upgraded and adjusted. When all work is finished correctly, the cars run as good as new, or better. Anyone wishing to experience the upgrades are invited to drive my 8 or 12 at the PAS meet and see for yourself.

Sold to a PAS member to save a car with bad wood. At least the hot rod guys didn’t get it. Ed
Hi Tony, The car was a Delux, with the big tail lights, and other trim, so maybe it was just the upgrade package. Ed
Hi Roger, I don’t know the name, but it must have a one way check valve to stop the water from leaking out, if you install a regular cup, it WILL leak. They probably are the same on all the big cars. Ed
Tim, the 955-z may id it, but there were also two different water pumps and they were driven by two different drive set ups. I am not sure if all the parts interchange. Be sure you get a photo of what you are buying as it could be expensive shelf art. Bill Morris has a 29 and could probably give you some good insight on the changes done in 29. Good Luck! Ed
Sedan. Photo enclosed. Ed
You need to post a photo of your old one as there are two or three kinds. They differ by mounting bracket and drive type if I remember. Ed
I have a set of very nice 1236 doors if anyone needs them. Ed
PAS members, I just listed a 1934 836a body in very good condition on ebay. 1000 dollars minimum bid with no reserve. I have offered his car to the club members for 3800.00 and there were no takers. Now it will go. Very good wood and tin. Body, doors, trunk lid, front and rear fenders, hood, nose tin, frame, front axle, partial rear end. Save it from the hot rodders. Read ebay ad. Thanks, Ed Minnie posting for John Cislak.

Wow, it’s up to $ 450.00 now.
As I recall it ran quite well, and was a very nice car. I should not last long at that price. Ed
Please post or email his seller Id for ebay, as there is a person also selling Pierce parts that are broken in the photos but listed as good. Ed
The above information is better than I could have done, Salon term was used from 1930 to 1934 and maybe 35. Different variations on the above, usually on the largest series car early on, then across the board by 34. Example all non Pierce bodies were Salon models in 31 to 33. It also applied to some of the Pierce bodies. Ed
Bill, what year? Then I am sure we can chime in. Ed
Number was 3530084, I found my photo of it. That makes it a 34 on 144 wb. Ed.
Stu, I didn’t know there were any other cars that started with “p””.
Why would anyone want one? Ed”
