Blaine, I’ve said it before, welcome to the PAS….and a very nice car you have!
John
Good call Bob.
I had the opportunity to judge the Gillet car in Buffalo-it was amazing inside and out.

Greg makes a good point on the shutter angle. I can’t tell by the picture, but if that’s a single bar, not a split bumper, it’s 1236.
Hi Ed, I can’t enlarge the pic but I’ll take a crack:
1933, 1247 (I think it’s the long wheel base) Convertible Sedan, Lebaron

Restoration Supply is run my PAS member Alan Schmidt in Escondido, Ca. He offers many great supplies for sale to service our cars!
John
Peter, you are correct. I’m glad you enhanced this thread with that important insight.
John
Hi Tom, I think the correct finish is between your description. More of a ‘gloss’ but not ‘high’ gloss. The good original interiors appear that way, while a number of restored cars have gone for a high gloss finish.
Best of luck with your project!
John
Randy, you’re spot on.
John
David, this sounds like an terrible problem, but the $800 remedy seems reasonable. Beetle infestation when car shopping certainly adds another dimension to ‘look before you buy’.
Thanks for the interesting update.
John
Hi John, I have a Craftsman meter from Sears I bought for under $100. It measures to 1400F-it works dandy and isn’t delicate. It uses a 9V battery

Happy Holidays to my friends!
Very good read-thanks James
John
Hi Jack, the new owner should stop by to see you and have a cheer!
Ditto to both of you!
John
George, it would be great if you could make it to the Winter meet. I understand Bob has us line up to see 50+ PA cars at various venues.
Best-John
Chris, you are correct-early 1929 manifolds are porcelainized too.
John
It was a nice time-thanks for pulling it together Liz!
Welcome to the PAS Peter. This is the right place to get some feedback.
Enjoy!-John
Gorgeous car.
