Hi Ed, I haven’t seen it. For some reason I can’t enlarge the photo, but I do notice the fella’s head gear on the horses do not make them as locals in DC-ha. I also find it interesting it looks like canvas tire covers not metal.

    Thanks for posting it-John

David, this am when I saw this new discussion, I searched the BJ webpage using “Silver Arrow””. It came up with a 2 minute video of the auction climax going back and forth between the last two bidders. I personally don’t recognize the winner but the commentator noted he was a well known collector.

Bill, I can’t help with old photos, but I sure do like that car. Are those PA factory colors for 34? I would appreciate getting those paint codes if you have them.

in reply to: parts needed for 31′ model 43 #395184

Ronald, I checked an old parts list from Blonder Murry and it does indicate 29-31 hubcaps restored with trade in and new. I would definitely be worth calling Dave Murray to check on his available stock.

Hi Ronald, a good place to start looking for those parts is under the “Parts & Service”” page available to members on this site. You will find vendor contact information for at least some of these items on that page and I’m certain fine reproduction hubcaps are a phone call away.

Gents, thank you for providing this great information. A few post here and Tim will be on his way to restoring this Travelodge!

Good grief Bob S, that story is scary- I’m glad you picked up on the problem before you went down the road!

If the primary use of the pump is to improve starting or push through a summer vapor lock on a car with a mechanical pump, maybe a “normally open”” switch/button under the dash that would have to be held down for 10 seconds or so and operate the pump intermittently is a safer bet.
