I will do what I can.
I had no idea there was a Pierce Arrow Dinner. Unfortunately, the pedal car open house is at the same time. Its going to be tough for me in the years to come. Antique pedal car events vs. Pierce arrow events. lolol whoda thunk!
I will take as many Pierce pics as I can along with general pics. John, you indicated a Pierce Arrow tent? Do you have space numbers or is it very obvious? I have been to hershey a few times but never paid attention to exaclty where I was. I was always searching for Antique pedal cars so my eye was elsewhere.
Im in ohio at the moment. Not too much further. Pierce Auto library will be my first stop. I should be able to load up on materials.
Just like a nervous parent, I have been calling the body shop to see how the dissembly is coming. Car is already almost down to the chasis. The engine guy has it turning over. Compression in all cyclinders but one. He says he has a few tricks to get it to go. Once it stays running, then he is going to take it all apart to rebuild. (seemed odd to me, but hes the expert) The engine guy is going to bebuild the entire drive trane, stem to stern.
The entire crew is more excited about this car than I am. (almost) Its great fun to see. They handle every nut and bolt with such care it gives me confidence that this restoration will turn fantastic.
Well, im off to eat some god awfull gag in the mouth free hotel breakfast. At least there is coffee. Later all.
Thanks all,
not sure if rubber or leather is correct but at least I now know what the heck they are now.
special thanks t Bill for giving me my first true crash course on P Arrow. I apreciate all the time he has taken with me and yet, he doens’t know me from Adam.
I know I would be in a far worse state in my restoration if it were not for Bill. Thanks again.

David. I thought your comments were funny and totally appropriate. Everyone has an opinion and some humor thrown is is always a welcome thing.
Thanks for the info
Wow! that is a way cool picture. Thank you so much. That badge must be ridiculously rare.
Hi
I have no intention of using metallic. I was just increasing my knowledge base. Looking for documentation of paint options that’s alll. I don’t want several pas embers at my door with torches and a rope Lolol
that is what I am looking for but my wheels are 19′
Thank you all,
I did some research on restoration shops before I bought the car and found the prices go from one end fo the spectrum to the other. I knew it was going to to be a huge expense, but some places wanted $400,000. I almost fell over.
I found a guy who loves the car, near my home and will do it at a reasonable cost. It may not be concourse, but I don’t need it to be. It will drop dead gorgeous.
thank you all. I have a good median idea of what to expect.
Thats funny Gregory, I had the hand cran attached a few days ago. I was standing on it and the engine was not free. It truly doens’t matter as long as it is free now.
That would be wonderful. Thank you so much.
Jerry,
Sure its for sale. Problem is, I have no idea what I am looking at and what the value is. This obviously puts me at a disadvantage. As long as you shoot me a fair offer and I do not need it for my Pierce I would sell it. Write me at [email protected]
The lense is broken in half and only half is there. The bulb is stil in it. Just wanted you to know.
Thanks, Rick
This is the actual pedal car that sold for $16,000 1927 ish Made by the Toledo co.
You have a beautiful pre 20’s Pedal car. without seeing the underside and and a few other things, it apears to be made by either Garton, or Keystone.
Thought the super old wire wheeled cars are way cool they do not demand the money the fendered, mirrored, option filled pedals do. (just like the big ones).
I would say your car is worth around $1000-$1400 range. I have my 1929 DC Phaeton, but I have over a hundred pedal cars. (used to have 350)
I have a site. come look. ibuypedalcars.com Some of my collection is up for sale. mmmm? I have a certain 29′ PA that is going to be draining me dry for the next few years of restoration. Rick
Hat particular model sold last year in excellant condition at auction. $16000.
Hi,
In the load of parts I recieved with the car their are two accordion sthyle luggage gates. they have the exact paint that is on the fenders. However, that color is black. Im sure that was a very common color of accesiors to match most. I have not seen the accordion gate on any Pirece.
thank you for the input.
Hi everyone!
I am looking for a clock for my 29 phaeton. Any help?
thanks, Rick
Question from a newbee member. I have a 29′ DC phaeton. How come it has louvers in the hood and all other 29′ DCs except for one have the flaps. Diff model? Or??? Fill me in. I like the louvers because it is different.
