Calvin & PAS Gents,
I am the PAS Guy who coordinates with the Optima Guy about whether they will be doing a deal this year.
I have been in touch with Optima Jim and he is working to see if the company is going to offer the deal.
When the Optima opportunity is a go, I will let everyone know.
Between now and then, stay tuned to the Message Board.
We are all charged about having another opportunity to get deals on Optima 6v Red-Tops.

Jak,
Nothing ventured, nothing spent!

The URL seems to take you to the homepage, search RIMS and you will get there.
I tried using the URL here a few times and always get to somewhere other than the Best Sellers Rims page.
G’day Jak,
I do not know the answer to that question.
I first found out that they made rims when I visited their mega-store-booth at Hershey.
I asked a few questions and when I got home, I created a dimensional diagram for them, including cross-section.
They were happy to create what I needed for about $200USD.
See the URL attached for their “stock” options.
My request was not a “stock” request, but they made it anyway, lickety-split .
I believe that they have pretty sophisticated presses.
I hope that this helps.
Best to you in OZ,
Peter

Gents,
James is correct.
Contact Karl Krouch about a rebuild.
It will be well worth the quite reasonable cost.

Hello Ken,
I made up a number of nickel plated aluminum crank covers a few years back.
I still have one or two. They are very nice and will do the job well.
Be in touch with me via direct email for details and pics.
Also, I am going to my storage unit today, so I will look to see if I have an extra interior pull handle.
Peter
Ken,
Specifically, what do you need?
Is your Series 80 a closed or open car?
Do you need the pull handle for closing the door (sits in the middle of the door just below the window) or the flipper handle that opens the door?
If the latter, do you need the screw-down nut and lock button that sits inside the entire unit?
Finally, do you need the internal door mechanism?
Peter
Way to go Heidi & Billy!
An end to speculation!
Aren’t the facts great!
Olvind,
The second pic enlarges just fine.
I hope that the car was heavily loaded with a number of LARGE people on the passenger side, as it is listing badly to the right.
Otherwise, it has a very bad set of springs on the righthand side.
It is a beautiful Landaulet.
Peter
John,
For all that you will use it, go with the price.
For the $17.00 on Amazon you cannot go wrong, or at least not more than $17 wrong.
Peter
Also, look out for the Toyota Ads! EESCH!

Hello Sulo,
We are a helpful group of car guys, so feel free to send any questions for which you need answers.
Peter
Greeting Sulo,
I also welcome you to the Pierce-Arrow Society.
In addition to Paul’s excellent and essential advice, I would advise you that the Series 80 holds approximately 9-quarts of oil.
I typically use Diesel Grade multi-weight (10w – 40) oil in my Series 80 and I live in the North East USA.
As Paul indicated, add oil (+/- 9-qiuarts) until the OPEN try-cock on the side of the oil pan weeps oil.
Then, of course, close the try-cock and you are ready to motor.
If the car has been sitting for years without being used, you may need to drop the oil pan and clean it out, but that is for another message board discussion.
Best of luck,
Peter
Ed,
What is the OD of the threaded part of the cap and the threads per inch on the cap that you need?
I have two excellent Series 80 “Parking Caps” that look like the pic above.
Perhaps, they are the same, and i may be willing to let one of them go.
Peter
One should always drink fine spirits neat!
Tony,
Why celebrate alone!
You should send Paul a bottle of Bourbon as a thank you!
Peter
Hey Richard,
Doesn’t Haartz have a wide range of colors available?
I once had a Dove Grey top made for a BMW cabriolet and I believe that they used a Haartz cloth.
Peter
John,
I would be pleased to do so, but it is spoken for at this moment.
Also, you might be disappointed, as the FILL is a bit low, so it could be “vin-agre.”
Regardless, it is a lovely historic bottle and has some minor chance of being good.
Finally note that it is Villamont and NOT Dillamont, but good try!
Peter
Here is one for you Boys!
