Bettye has done a GREAT job running the store for many years. It showed her dedication to the club in so many ways. I will miss her smiling face every time I walk into the registration room. Thanks very much for your years of service. Ed Minnie

Its a great car. I like the black wall look. I am sure he enjoys driving it. It would be great to see it in Rhode ISLAND in July. Ed

It was pulled off of ebay before the auction ended if I remember correctly. As Rick said, it was at 32k or some were near there when the auction ended early. I have never seen the car in person. It seems lately lots of Pierce cars are changing hands, and the good ones dont stay on the market long. Ed

It’s back up on Ebay. I did not keep an eye on the last auction but I thing it was bid to 30K. I wonder if the high bidder got a look at it before he paid and backed out. Ed

Greg, Thanks for posting the info on this car. The problem is there are lots of cars like this one out there for sale at inflated prices, and many people buy cars like this and get burnt out on the hobby. I know where there is a GREAT 36 v-12 thats perfect for a bit more money, a REAL turn key car ready to go, the best value I have seen on a late series car in years…..if any one wants more info contact me. My best, Ed

I just remembered that the best people to fix this type of item is a wooden musical instrument restorer , violins, cello, ect. I saw a demonstration by one of them and they said they often do veneer repair on pre war car trim. Good luck, Ed.

If you need any spring leaves give me a ring….. I have several sets hanging around. Good Luck, Ed

They are very difficult to make. You can remove and install the old ones without too many problems. Making a new set could run 40 hours or more. I would not remove them unless I was building a 100 point car. Ed

Well the good news is this car is back in a club members hands. Currently undergoing a total restoration. I hope to stop in and see it during the restoration in the next several months. If it’s ok with the new owner I will post some photos.ED

The old Atwater-Kent company still makes and rebuilds the sending units. I have one on the shelf for my 31. On my 36 when we made a new tank, we converted the sender to a 36 Ford. They are about 35 dollars new. Ed
