We have lots of viewers but not too many posters…… Please post a photo if you can!
Bob, I think the 34 has a 1950’s Mass plate on it. If I am correct it was in Jersey for years and just moved south of you in the last year or so. Ed
P.S. They sold half the cars in the early 80’s to pay for the revolution. Mostly the post war stuff. Ed
The car is on display in the Museum of Invalids and Martyrs. It is a museum showing the excesses of the Shah’s regime. I’m sure the cars will never leave as long as the current government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the nut jobs that run it are in charge. I bought the lap robe from the car about 15 years ago from Herman Brunn’s daughter. They thought it was so nice they kept it. It has the Shaw’s family logo sewn into it. I’ll display it sometime at a PAS meet. Ed
Here is a 66 from the same collection…..
Gentelmen, you can also post modern photos…. lets just try and keep it to cars that are garage bound and havn’t been seen at the PAS meets to keep things interesting.Hereare two cars from a midwest collection…..
SORRY! I couldn’t help myself……. try the next one…….Ed
I have the one Chris just posted, it was my next photo, so here is another.
Just on more to get the thread going……
It’s very big money to convert the early pierce eight rods to inserts. It can be done, but the rods must be welded, ground, machined, and balanced. Figure 250 a hole or more. If late model rods are used, and I am not sure if they fit, you can have them machined for inserts and the bearing for around 150 each. Babbitt will run around 125 last time I priced it. Call John Cislak and he can tell you about it. He converted Bob Dluhy’s 31 to inserts. He also is set up to do the late style rods on an exchange basis. His number is 413-543-9017
If it has a broken exhaust manifold and a bad UUR2 carb it could cost 5 k just to get it started.
Call PAS member John Cislak. He makes 50 parts for the Stromberg UU2, UUR2, and EX32 & EE3 carbs. There is no factory Stromberg sheet for set up. You should probably also set it up for the 10 or 15 alcohol fuel.
This years display car was a 1932 Series 54 Coupe.
John Cislak brought a huge parts display.

Yes, Tony is correct.
Dave did another great job running the PAS and Museum tent. I bet every PAS member that attended the fall meet stopped by the tent. Food, drink, and a comfortable chair were always available. Thanks also must go out to the volunteers who manned the tent in two hour shifts. My turn Friday morning flew by with a new member signed up as well as some brisk sales of PAS items. I’ll be back next year!
Hi Dave. Just a short note. I purchased a 1930 manifold from you and would prefer a 31-32 style. So if anybody needs a late 29 or 30 style I would be happy to trade for a 31-32 style. Thanks for making another run of manifolds. Ed Minnie 413-530-5712
